Iyer Idly is more than just a breakfast destination, it’s a part of Bengaluru’s culinary heritage. What began in 2001 as a humble venture selling idly and dosa batter has today become a beloved institution, serving simple, wholesome South Indian breakfast to generations of food lovers.

Founded by the Late M.K. Mahadevan and Uma Devan, Iyer Idly has stayed true to its roots, following time-honored recipes that have been passed down through the family. Today, the second generation couple, Karishma and Krishnan, proudly carry forward this legacy, continuing the tradition with the same passion and dedication.

Our idlis and other South Indian breakfast staples have remained a timeless favourite, loved by people across all age groups.

With outlets in Vignana Nagar and New Thippasandra, we continue to serve the local community and visitors from far and wide. Over the years, Iyer Idly has also welcomed renowned chefs, bloggers, and culinary enthusiasts from around the world who have come to learn, taste, and experience the art of idly making.

Our greatest reward is the enduring support and love of our patrons, who have helped us grow alongside Bengaluru’s own journey as India’s Silicon Valley.
